Ok, if you’ve been thinking about getting your feet wet in the cycling world, that is getting a comfortable bike and riding it, drop by The Urban Pedal and see how easy it is to get started without breaking the bank.
Back in January Amanda picked up this old lugged steel frame Pinnacle road bike at a garage sale for the amazing price of free. The first thing she did was add a rack and bottle holder:
Since then she’s replaced the noodle, road bars with city bars, new brake handles, grips, and had the guys at Oak Cliff Bicycle Company help fine tune some of the work. This is a perfect example of finding an affordable used bike and spending just a few more dollars to make it both useful and comfortable to ride.

Yet another cool bike that was saved from the salvage yard and put back on the street. One you just might see, if you’re biking in Dallas.
