Seen at Bike Swap at the Brewery

I haven’t been to a bike swap or visited Fort Worth in ages, so when I saw Rahr and Sons Brewery Company was hosting a bike swap I had a good excuse to check two things off my list.  As you know the weather was crappy on Sunday and the further west I went the harder the rain was coming down, yet I somehow managed to not wuss out and make it there.   I’m sure the weather kept some people home that day but they had quite a crowd and numerous tables filled with frames, full bikes and assorted parts.  The Bicycle Betties were a nice source for pastries and Rahr and Sons beer is fantastic (I had the Iron and Thistle).  I somehow managed to escape without buying another bike, maybe not having any room in my garage for another one helped me pull that off.

Anyhow, it was a fun time and I’ll be back next year.

Chris started riding a bike again when he noticed the Preston Ridge Trail being constructed across the street from his house. Since then he co-founded Biking in Dallas, has gone through countless Craigslist bike projects (some better than others) and can be found pedaling around town on a Electra Ticino with a camera in tow.
