Photos from the BFOC Lee Harvey Ride

This was yet another great group ride hosted by Bike Friendly Oak Cliff.   The weather was perfect and I was impressed by the great selection of bicycles.  I’m a sucker for racks and baskets and there were great examples to admire.  Also, when we were relaxing in the Bishop Arts District I kept noticing these gorgeous urban bikes parked on the sidewalk that were decked out with chrome fenders and leather saddles.  Then I realized they were bikes that Oak Cliff Bicycle Company were either selling (new) or had been refurbished.  They refurbished ones were simply gorgeous and it’s nice seeing a bike shop put that kind of effort into making old bikes even more desirable when they were new.  Awesomeness.

Below are some photos we took while riding through downtown prior to the ride and then during the ride.  You can see more photos from the ride at Bike Friendly Oak Cliff and Bike Friendly Richardson. Enjoy!

Chris started riding a bike again when he noticed the Preston Ridge Trail being constructed across the street from his house. Since then he co-founded Biking in Dallas, has gone through countless Craigslist bike projects (some better than others) and can be found pedaling around town on a Electra Ticino with a camera in tow.
