Nature Trails at White Rock Lake Spillway Are Open

Submitted by on December 29, 2010 – 10:20 amNo Comment

The nature trail portion of the White Rock Creek/Lake trails are open now.  These are the trails adjacent to the spillway in the south-western portion of White Rock Lake.  Great riding on a cool, sunny day.

The dark green lines represent the bike/pedestrian trails (though the map might not be up to date).   For some nutty reason Google Maps would not allow me to embed the map with the Bike Trail overlay, so this is just a screen shot.

The high on Thursday is supposed to be in the 70s and sunny, perfect weather for a ride around the lake.

Chris started riding a bike again when he noticed the Preston Ridge Trail being constructed across the street from his house. Since then he co-founded Biking in Dallas, has gone through countless Craigslist bike projects (some better than others) and can be found pedaling around town on a Electra Ticino with a camera in tow.
