Have you noticed Deep Ellum’s new bike fixit repair station?

The Fixit includes all the tools necessary to perform basic repairs and maintenance, from changing a flat to adjusting brakes and derailleurs. The tools and air pump are securely attached to the stand with stainless steel cables and tamper-proof fasteners. Hanging the bike from the hanger arms allows the pedals and wheels to spin freely while making adjustments.

The Fixit station is located outside of Deep Ellum Foundation‘s community center at the corner of Commerce St. and Henry St. If you’re wondering how to use some of the tools provided, just whip out a QR scanner app and check out some of the handy instructions.

I am a huge fan of stations like this. This is a great encouragement tool for all types of cyclists.

Now… if only we had phone charging stations….
