Kids don't try this at home

Here are a few more photos taken at the Blues/Bandits & BBQ festival.  The Richardson Bike Mart crew had a variety of activities going on, including how to levitate in mid-air on BMX bikes:

A blueberry smoothy from a bicycle powered smoothy maker via the BikeDFW tent hit the spot.

The bike parking valet service was sponsored by Pedal Power from Mansfield, Texas. They  put the “cycle” in “recycle”, actually you do, they just handle the details and shipping.  A partial list of the groups that they donate bikes to:

Maya Pedal – Guatemala
Village Bicycle Project – Ghana and Sierra Leon
BEN Bikes – Nambia
Spokes for Folks – DFW

And last but not least, Halz and the Oak Cliff Bicycle Company:

It was a fun day, see you at the 2011 Oak Cliff Tweed Ride on Sunday, November 13th.

Chris started riding a bike again when he noticed the Preston Ridge Trail being constructed across the street from his house. Since then he co-founded Biking in Dallas, has gone through countless Craigslist bike projects (some better than others) and can be found pedaling around town on a Electra Ticino with a camera in tow.
