Back in April I read in the DMN that the entire trail was scheduled to be finished by the end of May. Oh well. When you're in Hamilton park you can see where the trail will go under Forest, and they are indeed working on it. I cannot wait for it to be finished! I rode up from WR Lake Sat morning to ride the trail but could not find the connector. I didn't realize that piece was not finished. I asked a police officer where the trail was and she had never even heard of it. I rode all over that area looking for it. I was on TI Blvd, north of Forest, so I was close. Looks like I should have turned into Hamilton Park and connected there and I would have been good. I'll know next time. It will be nice when it's all open. Riding on the MUT's is very relaxing. I'm looking forward to being able to go from Richardson to Deep Ellum all on the MUT. When is the southern section connection to the WRTrail scheduled to be opened? The trail is not officially open, and won't be until the southern section from Hamilton Park to WRC trail is completed. However, the section between Mahan Drive and Hamilton Park is completed and ride-able. However it will not be maintained, so watch out for broken glass and gravel/dirt that has washed onto the trail.
