It looks like there's another venture in the metroplex to get us the info we need as cyclists and runners. www.dfwrunningtrails.com Included with each trail is a description with parking locations, lighting info, water stops, and even elevation changes. I spoke with the founder who says the base of the website should be up for the spring time with a core group of trails and will be growing weekly.

Chris - What's horribly unfortunate is that cycling on the sidewalk is *far* riskier than riding in the street with other traffic. You increase your risk factor man, many times. There's a lot of information out there about it, just google "sidewalk bicycle riding dangerous".

We'll definitely cover sidewalk riding and the risks with animations and video at this weekend's CyclingSavvy course!

Kerry welcome to Dallas and yeah we're still struggling with our bike infrastructure in many ways. We got some nice trails but we're waiting for bike lanes. Check out the event happening on Sunday the 29th, it's not a ride but most everyone who rides will be there. Drop by and meet some of the crew.

>>Perry is the only one with a helmet on. Does that mean he’s the only one with brains to protect?>>

On the contrary, it means he does't understand statistics very well, and just relies in common mis-perceptions about purported risks of cycling and safety benefits of putting foam on your head. Congratulations to the rest.

I would think it would work on an old Schwinn 10 speed, do you have fender/rack eyelets near the axle? There are other ways to mount it but having eyelets makes it very easy. Soma also has a blog so you could get the model bike you have and ask them if it will fit if you're uncertain.

Thanks for the great review! Would this fit on an old Schwinn 10-speed? I don't know the wheel size, they're just standard road wheels. Thank you!
