I have never heard of Ciclovia but it sounds like a great idea. We don't have anything like that that I know of down here in Houston. It is probably too hot in the summer for most people, but spring and fall would be great times to hold a Ciclovia.

Thanks Ron, I have yet to join the Tour Dallas event but I hope to do so this year. Has anyone ever tried to get an ongoing (weekly or monthly) event? We'll be announcing their event here as soon as I get some time. Until then, here's the link <a href="http://www.tourdallas.org/home.html" rel="nofollow"> Tour Dallas.

Christopher,

Dallas has the Tour Dallas, which is like a Ciclovia. It involves closing roads and using the existing cycle paths, such as the one at White Rock. See their website for pictures and descriptions. It is coming up soon, April 3.
