Bradley Wiggins Is a Monster
I’m a bit late handing out accolades but I hope most everyone already knows Olympic cycling gold medalist Bradley Wiggins became the first Brit to win the Tour de France this year. I have to admit all the recent doping scandals have eroded my enthusiasm for le Tour and this year when Frank Schleck tested positive (both samples) this year I began to ask myself what’s the point…Then Bradley Wiggins reignited my interest.
Wiggins rides for Team Sky, which is a new team on the Tour circuit. They were founded on the principle of transparency, riding (and winning) clean. Part of their mission was to win the Tour within 5 years with a British rider.
Mission Accomplished.
Not only is he Tour winner but he owns Olympic cycling. Wiggins 2012 gold medal for individual time trial upped gold medal count to four. He also has two bronze and one silver medal. He is also the only person to have ever won the Tour de France and a Olympic gold medal in the same year.
The man is a monster.
If you’re looking for a way to celebrate Wiggins’ accomplishments (and the 2012 London Olympics), look no further. Behold the 2012 limited edition Brooks Union Jack Sparrow Collection in red, white or blue (available at your local Brooks dealer):
Again, congratulations to Bradly Wiggins, Team Sky and the British cycling!
